Chris Hall
Chris joined Amplify in 2019 as a business development manager. He has over 13 years’ experience in the financial services industry ranging from business development to investment planning, portfolio construction and wealth management.
A believer in considered and consistent asset management, Chris’s strong client bonds help him achieve his goal of enabling clients to see the benefit of investing. By teaching important financial principles to be passed down generations, he hopes to create a ripple effect – impacting not just the financial security of individuals and their families, but the wealth and prosperity of communities.
Chris holds a BCom in Financial Management from the University of the Free State.

Chris van Staden
Chris / I joined the industry in July 1983 and worked in various roles in the Financial Services Banking Industry over the next approx. 42 years plus.
This included joining the Old Mutual Accelerated Admin Management Programme resulting in Branch / Sales and Branch Management Roles / Business Development in Asset Management / Financial Planning as a Wealth Manager / A Senior Investment Specialist and currently an Offshore Specialist at OMI.
I spent travelling throughout SA and working in various Management , Business Development and Wealth Management roles across the Barclays Group / FNB / ABSA Wealth & Barclays Wealth and again in the Old Mutual Group in different geographical areas / branches and fulfilling multiple roles .
After 9 years in Branch Management, I joined Old Mutual Unit Trust in 1995 and transitioned into Business Development for Old Mutual Unit Trust , later joined Old Mutual Asset Management which became Old Mutual Investment Group SA .
In 2008 I moved to ABSA Wealth and Barclays Wealth as a Wealth Manager and a Senior Investment Specialist , where I spent approx. 4 years in these roles being responsible for a portfolio of Ultra High Nett Worth clients and a team of Private Bankers .
In September 2013 I joined Old Mutual International as a Regional Manager / Offshore Specialist , responsible for Relationships and Business Flows for Gauteng / Free State / Northern Cape and North-west in Sales and Distribution .
I hold an Advanced Business Management Diploma from UJ , a FSA Designation from the FPI , A Master Certificate In Financial Markets ( Plumbline ) and a Member of the AAUT .”

Hannes Weideman
After beginning his career with Old Mutual PFA in 2005 as a financial adviser, Hannes started at STANLIB in 2007 as an Investment Broker Consultant. On successfully assuming increased responsibilities and fund management exposure, he was appointed as the Regional Business Development Manager in 2010.
He is an asset management distribution specialist specialising in the communication of the firms’s portfolio positioning and investment philosophy across asset classes and product offerings. Hannes is a CFP® member since 2011. He is currently responsible for distribution of STANLIB Funds in Gauteng and surrounding areas.

Jessica Fannin
Jessica began her formal career at Amity Investment Solutions (previously known as Amity Wealth) in 2013 as a junior analyst to strengthen the internal investment management processes. As the team has grown Jessica continues to play a crucial role in developing and maintaining investment processes. Jessica joined the management team of Amity in 2016 and is a member of the investment committee.
Jessica attained a Bachelor of Commerce in Investment Management at the University of Pretoria with distinction in 2011. She went on to complete her honours and first level of CFA in 2012. The remainder of her CFA levels where completed and successfully gained the designation as a charter holder in 2016.
Jessica has gained experience in a broad set of portfolio management skillsets at Amity since 2013 and has performed fund manager due diligence, quantitative analysis of investment opportunities, asset class valuation, macroeconomic research, market commentary, performance reporting to mention a few key outputs.
Jessica is passionate about the solutions used to implement sound financial advice and the role Amity plays in the financial services industry to provide these.
Jessica is married and has a daughter. She enjoys outdoor activities, cooking and entertaining and is passionate about her faith. The Fannin family is actively involved in their community.

Kim Silberman
Kim joined Matrix Fund Managers on 1 July 2023 after more than four years at RMB as the fixed income and FX economist. Before joining RMB, Kim worked as an economist for Standard Bank Group Securities and BNP Cadiz Securities.
In 2006, she was part of an emerging market hedge fund for Arnhold and S. Bleichroeder Advisers in New York.
Prior to leaving for New York, she worked as an economist at Econometrix for four years, while completing her Honours degree in Economics through UNISA.
Kim graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Cape Town. In 2006, she completed a Master’s degree in Economics at New York University. Her work experience has been varied and includes development and public policy work as well as forecasting and modelling, sector-specific analysis and asset allocation.

Rob Macdonald
Rob Macdonald is passionate about helping financial planning and investment management businesses achieve better client outcomes.
Having held several senior executive positions in the investment industry, he is now an independent coach and consultant and has been a pioneer in the delivery of behavioural coaching and practice management programmes for financial advisers since 2014.
Rob is co-organiser of the annual Humans Under Management South Africa conference and is a sought-after speaker and writer. He is author of the book, The 7 Pillars of Financial Health - Partnering with a Professional to Thrive; and co-author of the books, Rethinking Leadership and Frontiers in Financial Psychology. Rob is an editorial adviser to Blue Chip Journal and a regular contributor the publication.
In 2023 Rob was awarded the FPI Harry Brews Award for his contribution to the financial planning profession in South Africa.
Rob is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and a qualified coach and counsellor.
He holds a M Phil (Management Studies) from Oxford University and is a former Director of the MBA Program at the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town.

Ryan Jamieson
Ryan joined Fairtree in 2016 and is the Head of Retail North and KZN. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. He began his career at Momentum in 1998, where he held various roles in investment marketing, sales and distribution for over 15 years. During this time, he also led the national team of investment specialists and legal advisers and served on the Group Investment Committee. He then joined Investec, where he continued to focus on the sales, marketing and distribution of the Investec fund range.
Ryan later returned to Momentum as the Head of Wealth Management, where he was responsible for integrating the investment philosophy, house views, fund solutions and wealth management proposition. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics from the University of South Africa and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning from the University of the Free State.
